   • Mike Roy moved to approve the December 2008 minutes

   • Need to approve 2008-2009 Budget in January

8. Reports to Board
   1. Principal’s Report
      • December was, as always, a slow month. Teachers have started using new Ignite resource for various subjects.
      • Jim Powers – Architect
        • Toured Bldg B and inspected the various rooms. He had concerns of classrooms in basement where there are not two exits for each room without having to go through another room. He proposed that to start he’d like to draw up architectural drawings. Then we could see what we have and decide how to move forward.
   2. Larry Niemiec
      • Was on hand to discuss Florida Science Trip for Middle School. Getting ready for the trip. Scheduling around President’s Day 2010. $2298 each. So far 8 people have signed up.
      • Discussed CSAP results and plans for this year. Using teaching tool to review all topics that are on the tests. Students have been spending at least 20 minutes a week going through these tests. He can now target problem areas for every student.
   3. Financials
      • Connie delivered the final 2008-2009 school budget for board approval.
      • Motion 28_1_2009 – Brett Lewis moved to accept and approve the 2008-2009 School Budget.
      • Second by Ed Stankiewicz

• Dedication to Dr. Carlton – Discuss next month

    • Sub-Committees
      • Proposed financial, facility, and technical sub-committees to start. Plan to discuss further at future workshop.
      • Scheduled workshop for Thursday, January 22nd 2009 at 5:30 PM.
