Next SCRIP order will be Wednesday, February 10

1. PARENT SATISFACTION SURVEY:  The Academic Excellence Committee would like every family to complete a parent satisfaction survey.  It is essential that you give us your feedback on what is working well for you and your children at Lincoln, and what may need some changes.  The survey is available online starting tomorrow (Friday), however, if you are unable to complete the online survey, please pick-up a hard copy of the survey in the office lobby.  The web address to access the survey is www.jeffn.net/lasurvey/  ; username:  Lincoln, password:  Leopard2009 (notice the capital ‘L’ in Leopard2009, 2009 are all numeric).  The deadline for completing the online survey or returning a hard copy is Wednesday, February 17, 2010.  Thank you in advance for your time and valuable feedback.  Every student whose family completes the survey will receive a homework pass.  The homework pass may be used on an assignment that has been pre-approved by their teacher.  Please email jsneaf@msn.com if you have any questions or problems with the online survey, or phone Sandy Neafsey at 303-403-1612.
2. VALENTINE’S PARENTS NIGHT OUT:  Beat the crowds, go out for Valentines a day early and let us watch your children.  If a quiet evening at home is more your style, that’s what we are here for!  Sign up now for the next exciting Parents Night Out event on Saturday, February 13 from 5-10 p.m.  Children three years old through fifth grade are invited to join us for an exciting evening of games in the gym, special holiday crafts, movies, and food.  Dinner and snacks are provided for just $5 per child, plus a donation for the childcare services and activities.  Childcare is provided by Red Cross certified high school students and their families.  How much easier can a great night out be?  Reserve your spot now by emailing or calling Laurie Rozendaal at scolau@aol.com or 303-429-5031.
3. SAVE THE DATES FOR NEXT YEAR:  As you are making summer plans, please keep the following dates in mind: Tuesday, August 3 is registration from 2-6 p.m. and Thursday, August 19 is the first day of school.  These are the only dates we have available at this time.
4. JEAN DRIVE FUNDRAISER FOR HAITI:  Lincoln Academy raised $430 to donate to the Haiti fund.  We will have a count of how many jeans were donated next week.  Thank you to all who participated.
5. MINDS AT WORK:  Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make Minds at Work possible!  I appreciate all of your help throughout the day to get the tables set up, boards put in the right place, ribbons distributed and everything cleaned up.  It would not have been possible without your help.  Also, a job well done to all of the students who participated this year.  Your projects were top notch!
6. NEWEST BOARD MEMBER:  Kristi Geisz has been voted as the new Board Member.   Thank you to all who voted.
