Hello!  Welcome to 2nd Grade at Lincoln Academy!  We are going to have a fantastic year!

My name is Dawn Bennett. This is my fourth year teaching here at Lincoln Academy; Mrs. Dawn Bennetthowever, it is my 8th year as part of the Lincoln community. I previously taught kindergarten, as well as working in our Department of Student Success.  We have an amazing staff that is here who truly believes that teaching is a work of heart.

Teaching is my passion!  I am a creative and outgoing person.  You will see from my classroom that I like to think outside the box.  Having flexible seating in my room really allows the students to take ownership and accountability for the choices.  My goal is to empower each of them to advocate for themselves and figure out how they work best. You will see that the learning environment in my classroom is welcoming for all!  I invite you to come in and be part of our class as often as you are able.

I am grateful to be on this journey with you and your student this year! I am excited to make this a memorable year!
