March 2026 Meeting Highlights

LA logo

The Board of Directors would like to share some highlights from the March meeting:

1.  Enrollment Update: Enrollment is a key focus for board and we’re happy to share that current numbers are strong with no significant changes since the February update. Our Pre-K program continues to drive retention with 90% of students returning to Lincoln, indicating a high rate of satisfaction. Also worth celebrating is overall whole school student retention rates that rival rates prior to COVID. This is certainly a great reflection of our teachers and staff working diligently to support student success in many ways. We also credit staff participation in outreach events such as “Touch-a-Truck” at Apex and our front office for their concerted efforts in marketing, recruitment, and event participation.

2. PTO and Staff Appreciation: Huge thanks to PTO for leading an incredible fundraiser for an outdoor education space. To maximize the donation, they opted for less support from the fundraising company and took on more of the work themselves. We also appreciate our staff for their support of the event from frequent communication updates to encouraging messages, and of course, participating in the culminating event. Great team effort all around to raise more than twice the goal! We can’t wait to see the final result.

3. Compensation Approval & Potential Capital ImprovementsThe board voted to approve a bonus in appreciation of our staff and in recognition of increasing cost of living and health insurance. Thanks to some recent grant awards, the finance and facilities committees also brought forward several proposed investments to better serve the community. These proposed items have been accounted for in the current projected budget and would possibly include artificial turf for the Little Leopard Playground, replacement of an aging security camera server, a new Garage/Shed for facilities equipment and additional school storage, and a second snow plowing truck with blade. We acknowledge how hard our facilities team works, focused primarily on safety and overall functionality of our buildings and campus, and recognize the importance providing the tools they need.
