Reading: Students will review and blend words with the prefixes im, in, and re. Students will also practice asking and answering questions, summarizing, cause and effect, and sequencing a given text. 

Writing: Students will be writing a personal narrative paragraph. 

Math: Students will tell time to the half hour. Students will organize data with up to three categories. Students organize data using a tally chart to record the total number of objects in each category.

Core Knowledge: Ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt:  Students will learn about and describe daily life in Ancient Mesopotamia including early writing called cuneiform. Students will learn about the importance of King Hammurabi and his code of laws for Ancient Babylon. Students will discuss the many gods that were worshiped in Ancient Mesopotamia and they name of their temples. Students will learn about life in Ancient Egypt including the geography and ancient writing called hieroglyphs.
