Meet the Teachers

Hi everyone! My name is Sydney Nixon, and I am one of th 2nd grade teachers here at Lincoln. I graduated from Colorado Christian University in May 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Culturally and Linguistacally Diverse Education. My senior year, I had the opportunity to do my Student Teaching at Lincoln in the 3rd Grade and loved it. During the 2022-2023 school year, I was working as a Language and Culture Assistant at a primary school in Madrid, Spain. Last year I had the privilege to teach 2nd grade here at Lincoln, and I am so excited to be back for my second year of 2nd grade!

Hello! My name is Liliana Castro, I am so excited to be your child's 2nd grade teacher! I have planned many exciting and fun learning activities for this school year. 

A little about me: I am bilingual, I moved to the United States at the age of nine. I've been in education for seven years, teaching both 2nd and 3rd grade. I graduated from Metropolitan State University with a major in Behavioral Science and Elementary education.

I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. Drinking coffee with my family is one of the things I cherish the most. I have three little bratty but cute chihuahaus that I adore! Your child will hear many stories about my dogs!

Hello! My name is Grace Gardner, and I am one of the 2nd grade teachers here at Lincoln. I am originally from Dripping Springs, Texas and studied elementary education at Colorado Christian University. During my year of student teaching, I taught in 3rd grade, so I am very happy to be back! I enjoy flyfishing, being creative, and spending time with friends and family. It is my dream come true to be part of the Lincoln team and work in the midst of wonderful teachers and students! Growing up 2nd grade was my most favorite grade, so, I am overjoyed to be apart of this team and teach in 2nd grade!
