Writing:

In writing this week, we are implementing the four steps of the writing process: plan, draft, revise and share. We will use this process, along with oral retelling, to write a sentence about the story Snowmen At Night.

Math:

In math this week, we are continuing our unit on addition and subtraction strategies. Students will learn various ways to compose and decompose numbers up to 10.

Family Letter Unit 8

Core Knowledge:

In Core Knowledge this week, we are learning all about Asia. We will dive into the Chinese New Year and its traditions, learn about the story of the Peach Boy, and take our Asia assessment.

Social-Emotional Learning:

In Second Step, our third unit is on empathy and kindness. This week, students will be able to give at least one example of a kind act they could do at school.
