Writing:

In writing this week, we are writing complete sentences in our journals. We will practice using our A-Ok grip, stretching out words to hear all of the sounds and using finger spaces, capitalization and punctuation. We will draw a picture to illustrate our sentence.

Math:

In math this week, we are finishing our unit on addition. We will be representing and solving various types of addition problems within 10.

Family Math Letter Unit 6

Core Knowledge:

In Core Knowledge this week, we are finishing our unit on pushes and pulls and beginning our unit on winter holidays around the world! We will be “flying” to Australia, Israel, and Mexico to learn all about how they celebrate winter holidays, including Christmas, and Hannukah.

Social-Emotional Learning:

 In Second Step, our third unit is on empathy and kindness. This week, students will be able to give at least one example of a kind act.
