Happy Friday!
We hope you enjoyed our Virtual Spirit Week! We will be sharing photos with you on our website next week so be sure to look for them. As we head into the weekend, please checkout a few important pieces of information below.
- Medications will be available for pick-up Monday, April 27 between 1 PM-3 PM. Please use our drive-thru pick-up line. Medications will be returned to you in your vehicle by our clinic staff.
- Our mental health team has some NEW helpful resources to share. Visit our website homepage under “Family Resources” to find several new articles.
- Yearbooks are still available, but they are going fast! Don't miss out on this year's memories! Click here for details.
We hope everyone was able to read the “Community Update” from Jeffco Public Schools that came out this past Tuesday, April 21st (Click here to find the complete update). In this update, Dr. Glass, the district superintendent, communicated that there will be economic implications for all Jeffco schools due to the COVID-19 shut down. Charter schools are not immune to this. Dr. Glass communicated a need to reduce our yearly expenses by 1-10%. Our Lincoln Academy School Board is working alongside Mrs. Johnson to reduce our budget for our 2020-2021 school year by that 1-10%. Please know that, as you can see through this remote learning season, the staff at Lincoln are dedicated to educating with excellence and will continue to do so. However, the long-term ramifications of this pandemic will be felt into the next school year.
We are grateful for our amazing and supportive Lincoln community. While there are still many unknowns, we do know that we are in this together and, together, we are stronger..
We hope everyone has a great weekend!
Thank you!
