Families who want to enroll their child in PreK-8th grade at Lincoln Academy rather than their neighborhood school must complete the Jeffco Choice Enrollment Process. Round 1 Enrollment is open December 5-January 12. Round 2 Enrollment opens on January 18 and stays open through August. Around January 23, Round 1 lottery offers will be sent to families. Families have three days to accept or decline an offer. If they accept an offer, they will be taken off their neighborhood or previous Jeffco school enrollment. Families will be given an option to remain on the waitlist for their other choice options, or get off other waitlists if they are satisfied with their first offer.
Age Eligibility Requirements:
- To enter PreK, children must be four years old on or before October 1.
- To enter Kindergarten, a student must be five years old on or before October 1.
- To enter First-grade students must be six years old on or before October 1.
WaitList Priorities:
For each grade level from Kindergarten through 8th grade, available enrollment openings are offered in the following order:
- Children of Lincoln Academy faculty
- Siblings of Lincoln Academy students
- Currently enrolled PreK students entering kindergarten in the fall
- Jeffco School District Resident Applicants
- Non-Jeffco Applicants

Special Education Services for Special Populations

In most cases, the services required by a student with disabilities can be provided at Lincoln Academy. In some cases, a student’s individual needs require that they be placed in a different program or location as determined by an IEP or Section 504 team. Applicants to Lincoln Academy are not required to identify whether the applicant has an IEP, and admission to the school is made without considering a student’s disability.
