Clubs at Lincoln Academy 2024-2025
We are welcoming a new provider for Lego club to our school in January! Play-Well TEKnologies will be hosting a STEM Innovations Lego club for 3rd-6th graders on Mondays at 3:15 pm starting January 27th. Students in this club will apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects and an inquiry-based learning classroom model. Sign up now for either the winter session (Jan 27-Mar 10) or spring session (Mar 31-May 12) or both! Spaces are limited!
Lincoln Academy will have a Pokémon Club for students in grades 2-6. This club will meet on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 pm in the Lincoln Library, starting December 5th for eight weeks. The club is run by Tabletop Village and will include lessons on how to collect and play Pokémon, with all materials provided. Students will also learn how to contextualize their reading and math skills, long term strategic thinking and planning, how to make fair and equitable trades, and how to be a kind and sportsmanlike competitor. Due to low enrollment, we will be canceling the 2nd trimester of Chess Club. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can run the 3rd trimester starting Feb 26.
This club is available for students in grades 1-4. The club will run for two 12-week sessions. Players will learn about Openings, Middle Games and Endgames, all while having fun with other students. Chess Club is appropriate for all skill levels. See this flyer for more information.
The Lincoln Academy Science Matters Club will also meet on Wednesdays from 3-4 pm, starting November 13, in Miss Goodman’s Art Room. This club is available for students in grades Kindergarten-4. This club will run for six 4-week sessions, covering fun and educational topics such as Slime Time, Magical Mixtures, Invention Lab, and Earth’s Mysteries. Get ready for Spanish in high school with Spanish Club! Lincoln Academy will be starting a Middle School Spanish Club, Level 1, in January! Level 1 is a 10-week course on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm for students in grades 6-8. Register here by November 26th to learn vocabulary, pronunciation, phrases and reading! 12/3/24 UPDATE: Due to low enrollment, the Middle School Spanish Club has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
There will also be a Spanish Club, Level 2, for students in grades 3-5 or any student who completed Level 1 in the fall session. This club will meet on Fridays from 3:30-4:15 pm starting in January. Register here by November 26th to reserve your spot!
