Starting on Oct. 25, work on the joint trench will begin on the northeast corner of 72nd and Oak streets, working eastbound toward the railroad tracks. The joint trench will house relocated water, sewer and utility lines. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with breaks to accommodate school traffic. Impacts to traffic should be minimal but plan for a few minutes delay.
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION AS OF OCTOBER 12
Update for October 10, 2021: Xcel will continue working on overhead utility relocation on the south side of 72nd, from Quail to Oak. This work is expected to take up to eight weeks pending weather and unforeseen circumstances.
The City's contractor, SEMA, is beginning preparations for construction work at W 72nd and Oak St. Traffic and construction impacts will be shared in the next few weeks
